Integration–the key to Rubicon

Myrthe Plaisier and Femke Maij are both from the Human movement sciences group at the VU, and each recently received a Rubicon grant from the NWO. Plaisier will investigate the integration of perceptual information received by the two hands. Maij will investigate localization errors during movements. In that way she expects to reveal how the brain combines different sensory information signals. They agree that the multidisciplinary character of the Helmholtz institute has been very important in their development as scientists.
