You can play the piano either by pressing the keys on the screen with the mouse, or by pressing the keys of your computer keyboard. For the latter, use the keys as indicated on the screen. If you have a Western keyboard, this will mimic the layout of a piano keyboard on your computer keyboard. Click next to the piano keyboard to give it focus, otherwise the keystrokes may not work.
With the Submit Query button you can start a query. Be patient, it may take a minute. You will have to enter a few notes before you can submit.
With Method you can indicate if the whole query melody should be matched with whole database melodies, or that you allow partial matches.
Results indicates the number of results you want to retrieve
Limit limits the number of entries to the first n. This speeds up the search. Set this value to empty or 0 to search all entries.
Edit Melody will analyse the notes and send them to a simple score editor. There, you can process the input further, before doing a query.
The Clear button clears the notes played.
The Play button plays the melody you played.
