From Schiphol Airport by train:
The distance between Schiphol Airport and Utrecht is approximately 46 km. Travelling by train to Utrecht Central Station takes about 40 minutes. You need to buy a ticket before you take the train (tickets bought in the train are very very expensive!). One-way tickets costs about € 13.-.

From Utrecht Central Station by bus:
Distance 6 km, about 20 minutes. From Utrecht Central Station take line 11 or 12, direction "De Uithof/AZU". Service about every 4 minutes during rush hours, every 10-15 minutes remainder of the day. One-way fare about € 2.40. If you take line 11, get off the bus at busstop "Botanische Tuinen". In case of line 12, get off the bus at busstop "Padualaan". You walk to the "Hugo R. Kruytgebouw", Padualaan 8.
In The Netherlands the fare for bus, metro and tram is paid by using universal "strippencards", which you can buy at any train station or post office. Strippencards sold in the bus or train are double the price. You pay one "strip" for each of the number of "zones" you travel, plus one "strip" in addition. Number of "strips" required: 3.
