The TMkit library is a collection of general purpose Fortran modules used by TM5 and other members of the TM familly.
Once compiled, it should not be necessary to recompile the modules often. It is undesirable too, since compilation of especially the obscure file_hdf modules takes a while. The TMkit object and module files are therefore not removed if you apply source cleaning (argument '-clean' to the run script or 'make.clean' option in the rcfile). Cleaning all (argument '-clean-all' or 'make.clean.all' option in the rcfile) means that the TMkit object files are removed too.
