Karthaus 2005

In September 2005, the 6th summer school on Ice Sheets and Glaciers in the Climate System was organised in the picturesque Italian mountain village of Karthaus (Certosa). Accompagnied by copious amounts of gnocchi, risotto and chocolate cakes, 36 students from all over the globe got a broad introduction to the relation between ice and climate. The summer school was organised by Hans Oerlemans (Utrecht University) and Georg Kaser (University of Innsbruck).
