Food
The food at the Karthaus summer school is famous. Almost every participant had heard of previous participants how good the food was, so we had high expectations! It must be said that these expectations were met!
Breakfast
At breakfast the hotel offered us a wide choice of bread, cheese, ham, yoghurt and several cereals.
Also a range of fruit juices, tea and of course coffee was available.
Lunch
Lunch in Hotel Zur Goldenen Rose consists of 3 courses. As a starter there is the salad bar.
As a main course, typical Italian cuisine was served, for instance pasta, lasagna or risotto.
The desserts were also very good, ranging from ice cream to small pastries.
Dinner
For dinner, 5 courses were on the menu. First the salad bar, then a starter, then soup, and then the main course and of course dessert.
One evening, Paul managed to serve us 5 courses of Knödel!
We had Knödel with cheese and leek, with shrimp, with truffle, cheese and strawberry/chocolate. Amazing!
